Most of us are guilty ofbingeing the same showsover and over again rather than selecting something new to watch. We do this for a few different reasons: we don’t want to put in the time and effort to find something new, we just want something on in the background while we do other things, or we genuinely enjoy the show enough and want to see it time and time again. Regardless of the reason, there is absolutely no judgment here!
What many of us would actually like to do is erase our memory of our favorite shows and movies, so we can watch them for the very first time again. Imagine getting to experience all the twists and turns with your favorite characters again for the very first time and not being left on a cliffhanger only to wait a whole year for the next season to come out. Would you have the same reactions to plot twists and relationships?

While we cannot simply press “reset” on our brains, we still wish we could watch these 20 shows for the first time again.
20Game of Thrones (2011-2019)
Game Of Thrones
In the beginning,Game of Throneswas a bit overwhelming, as more than two dozen prominent characters were introduced within the first episode. However, after names, families, and loyalties were established, storylines began to intertwine and fans were instantly hooked on the medieval series.
What We Want to See for the First Time Again
Within the eight seasons, there is a lot going on, so missing out on one episode will certainly confuse viewers. Powerful and ruthless people fight for a crown, many undeserving characters die, and there are a few individuals whom fans want to see killed off in a slow and painful way. Most viewers would love to see Daenerys Targaryen fight for her throne for the first time again, watch as Tyrion Lannister manages to always escape death at the last minute, or witness Jon Snow learn a thing or two north of the wall.Stream on Max
19The Big Bang Theory (2007-2019)
The Big Bang Theory
Smart, nerdy guys getting paired up with cute blondes is nothing new, but the wayThe Big Bang Theorymakes the pretty blonde neighbor be the one to bring four highly intelligent but socially awkward guys out of their shells is simply unmatched. Over the course of 12 seasons, audiences watch as each character finds love, progresses in their profession, and learns to be unapologetically themselves, no matter what others think.
There are so many memorable moments throughoutThe Big Bang Theory, but getting to see Penny and Sheldon’s platonic relationship grow from the very beginning would be a real treat. Also, fans would not mind seeing how each of the main guys managed to find their soulmates (even if one is a Yorkshire Terrier) for the first time again.Stream on Max

18Friends (1994-2004)
Friends is the popular sitcom created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, released back in 1994 and ran for ten seasons. The show follows a group of six twentysomethings through their lives in New York City and their time spent between their two apartments and their local coffee shop. The show features the group navigating tricky relationships with one another and comical misadventures.
There are plenty of sitcoms out there that have fantastic writers and actors, but something aboutFriendsmakes fans feel as if they are a part of the iconic group. The relationship issues, career changes, and personal problems the six friends face are so relatable even 30 years later. While everyone gets into their own little spats, it is nice to see that they can still come together and be there for one another when times are tough.

While many fans can do without the on-again-off-again relationship between Rachel and Ross, we would truly love to experience the blossomingbromance between Chandler and Joeyfor the first time again. Their friendship was superior to all the others, and if given a chance to see this sitcom for the first time again, people may have a simpler perspective about their own lives.Stream on Max
17New Girl (2011-2018)
In this day and age, it seems like everyone in their 20s is more open and honest about admitting that they don’t have everything together. By watching modern sitcoms likeNew Girl, the idea is reinforced that people do not need to live their lives on someone else’s timeline. Having roommates, changing careers, and all the troubles that come with new relationships are normal and relatable in this cheeky show.
New Girlis full of the quirkiest characters any sitcom has ever seen, so getting to experience their peculiar personalities for the first time again would be pretty great. Additionally, there is the long period in which Schmidt pines for Cece that brought about some of the best dialogue in TV history. Overall, just getting to hear random and whip-smart one-liners from everyone would be the best thing ever.Stream on Hulu

16Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003)
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Buffy the Vampire Slayerwasahead of its timein its casting of a strong woman lead and making her an average young woman who becomes a trained killer. Most series have a natural end to them when the teenage protagonists graduate from high school, but instead of that happening to Buffy, we successfully see her transition into a responsible adult as she takes care of her mom and sister on top of everything else going on.
Watching Buffy juggle her school, romantic, and secret killer lives was incredible back in the ’90s, but plenty of fans would give anything to see her back on the streets, saving her little town again for the very first time. From blasting the heads of her enemies by screaming to brutally ripping monsters apart, some of the best kill scenes in any show happen throughout this series' seven seasons.Stream on Hulu

15Lost (2004-2010)
Lost is a mystery drama series created for TV that follows a group of survivors of a plane crash and tells its story between the past, present, and future via flashbacks. When Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 crashes and lands on a mysterious island in the pacific ocean, the castaways discover their new temporary home may have a mind of its own, as strange supernatural events keep them locked to the island. From an unknown black smoke creature to dangerous islanders, the passengers must work together to survive the island’s seemingly deadly intentions.
Lostpaved the way for modern survival dramas as it presented a very real fear for people while showing us how a group of vastly different individuals could come together for a common goal: survival. As the show progressed, problems that no one ever imagined emerged, and the characters began to question their own realities and desires.
While plenty of fans continuously rewatchLost, it’s not as great as the first time around because all the twists and turns have already been revealed. True fans want to see why John Locke is such a mysterious person for the first time again, and what happens when the clock runs out of time. If you are watching this survival series for the first time ever, get the tissues ready as plenty of characters meet rather unfortunate fates.Stream on Hulu
14How I Met Your Mother (2005-2014)
How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother is a sitcom created initially for CBS by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. Five friends living in New York City navigate their twenties and thirties as they try to find love, success, and purpose. The show is framed through one friend’s eyes, Ted Mosby, as he retells the story of how he met his wife to his children.
Sitcoms are always fun to rewatch because there is often so much going on with so many characters that viewers naturally miss a funny joke or hidden Easter egg. WithHow I Met Your Mother, it is hard to keep track of how many horrible dates Ted has been on (though he seems to clearly remember) or all the punchlines Barney delivers. Getting to watch all the chaos happen again for the very first time would be truly legen..wait for it…dary.
Aside from listening to Ted tell his children about all thewomen he’s been withbefore finally meeting their mother, there are several iconic moments in the series that fans would love to see for the first time again. Watching Barney high-five himself and make every situation more dramatic will always be funny. As well, there is Robin desperately trying to hide the fact that she was a Canadian teenage pop star. Of course, who would not want to see how Lily and Marshall show off what it means to be married to your best friend?Stream on Hulu
13The 100 (2014-2020)
There were a number ofpost-apocalyptic TV seriesand movies that came out in the 2010s, but nothing was quite likeThe 100. At first, audiences were sympathetic to the 100 juvenile delinquents who were sent (more like sacrificed) back to Earth to see if it was habitable. However, after plenty of power struggles throughout the seven seasons, many likable characters were deemed horrible and several obnoxious individuals deserved better outcomes.
If we were able to see the show for the first time again, people would love to see Octavia’s rise to power, from the girl who lived below the floorboards to a prominent leader. Some twists and turns with relationships and loyalties throughout the series were expected, but one particular storyline everyone would like to experience again is when Clarke’s bisexuality is revealed; this arc truly shocked fans in the best way possible.Stream on Netflix

12Family Guy (1999-Present)
Family Guy
Seth MacFarlane knows no bounds when it comes to creating content forFamily Guy. Many celebrities, politicians, and everyone in between have found themselves recreated as a character in thisadult animated sitcom, and no one is spared being the butt of a joke. With the amount of crude dialogue and controversial scenes, it is definitely a show people would be shocked to watch for the very first time in this day and age.
Within the Griffin family, it would be interesting to see how much Stewie hates his mother and constantly plots her death, as well as how the whole family horribly treats Meg all the time. Aside from the main family, it would be nice to witness Quagmire grow out of his “womanizer ways” after nearly a decade of being one of the most controversial characters.Stream on Hulu
The Walking Dead
Based on one of the most successful and popular comic books of all time, AMC’s The Walking Dead captures the ongoing human drama following a zombie apocalypse. The series, developed for television by Frank Darabont, follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), who are traveling in search of a safe and secure home. However, instead of the zombies, it is the living who remain that truly become the walking dead. The Walking Dead lasted for eleven seasons and spawned several spinoff shows, such as Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond.
Nearly everyone seems to have a zombie apocalypse plan, but how many of those people took notes from Rick and his group inThe Walking Dead? For 11 seasons, the post-apocalyptic show has made us fall in love with characters, despise seemingly good people, and helplessly watch as some of the most gruesome bloodbaths took place on-screen. If given the chance to go back and watch this series for the first time again, tissues would be needed as well as someone to scream at, as so much goes on with every character.
From the start, getting to see Rick reunite with his wife and son in the very first season would bring tears to anyone’s eyes. The innocent yet passionate romance between Glenn and Maggie is also something no one can ever forget — and many of us will never forgive the writers for killing off Glenn, even if it was his destiny from the comic books.Stream on Netflix
