One of the biggest unveiling during BlizzCon this year was the announcement of Diablo 4. Blizzard now gives an update on when we can expect to learn more about the action-RPG.
Blizzard Shares Diablo 4 News and Updates Timeline
In ablog poston the official website, a letter from the game director Luis Barriga who thanked fans for the response to the reveal of Diablo IV which seems quite positive. The post also shared that Blizzard are taking some time to take stock and prepare some info updates which are planned for February next year.
It will be the first in a series of quarterly updates where we’ll share behind-the-scenes looks at our progress going forward.

The letter didn’t shed light on a possible release window but the mention of “quarterly” updates means we’ll be getting new info in regular intervals. It doesn’t detail how many of these updates will be made. Barriga had shared at BlizzCon that the game would not be coming “Blizzard soon”. While there was a demo seen a BlizzCon, it was seen as a “first-step”.
What we do know is that Diablo 4 will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One as well as the next generation of consoles (PS5andXbox Scarlett). This is not really an indicator on release time, it just means going forward it will be supported on both generation of platforms. Our current prediction is for 2021.
