Treyarch, Raven Software, and Activision today revealed the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

As any Call of Duty fan what their favorite entry in the franchise is and, more likely than not, Call of Duty: Black Ops II is the answer. Treyarch’s 2012 title featured an intense campaign with player choice, a fan-favorite multiplayer packed to the brim with excellent maps, and a Zombies experience that was ahead of its time. Fans still love the game, but Treyarch and Activision never really followed up on its success. While there have been four additional Black Ops games, none continued the stories of David Mason or Raul Menendez. That all changes when Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 releases this holiday season.

Treyarch, Raven Software, and Activision today revealed all the content and features coming to Call of Dutys Black Ops 6 and Warzone in Season 4.

Embrace the madness

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 takes place in 2035, 10 years after Black Ops II and 40 years after Black Ops 6. The world is on the brink of chaos after years of violent conflict and psychological warfare following the events of Black Ops II and Black Ops 6. Armed with cutting-edge technology, you play as David Mason as his team as you fight back against an enemy that weaponizes fear to achieve their goals. The trailer also confirms the return of Black Ops II antagonist Raul Menendez.

“The Black Ops universe is amazing,” said Matt Cox, General Manager of Call of Duty. “The creativity and imagination that goes into the storytelling, the rich character depth, and the incredible moment-to-moment gameplay across all modes is really exceptional. As a team, our vision from the start was to create a back-to-back series experience for our players that embraced the uniqueness of the Black Ops sub-franchise.It delivers the full Call of Duty package for our players, and we can’t wait to show the community more of what the studio teams have been working on when we reveal later this summer.”
