Captain NitroandCaptain Turboare two of the endgame bosses inGrounded 2and can be found after traversing the above-ground stone wall maze outside theCommand Center.Both require similar tactics to defeat them, and in this guide, you’ll learn the strategies and preparation needed to defeat them and move on to the harder fights within the center. While both of the Captains are optional, defeating them will be beneficial to you when returning and leaving the area, as the two will not respawn after you defeat them, compared to other normal scorpions in the game.

Captain Nitrocan be found in thenorthern area of the center, past the stone maze, hiding in the shadows on a branch. you may see the purple glow of theO.R.C.device before you see him, catching many off guard if they’re rushing past to get into the main center.Captain Turbocan be found at the opposite end of the map, near flower bushes, but also under a bush, hiding from the player, only to ambush them if they get too close. Both of these locations are within the statue region and can be missed accidentally.
Fighting Strategy
This strategy will apply to bothO.R.C. Northern Scorpionbosses, as bothNitroandTurbohave the same move sets. Both will be facing forward, meaning you won’t be able to hit their weak spots just yet and will have to lure them out. Throw an extra spear to aggravate them and get them to come out and face you. Since you’ll need both hands for your two-handed weapons, you’ll have to time your dodges to know when to attack and when to block.
Thescorpionswill block with their large claws in the front and slowly turn to follow the player’s movements, kite behind them, and slam their weapon into their rear and stinger to deal heavy damage. The scorpions will also use atwo-pincer slashing combobefore either stinging the player or diving underground. If they dive underground, you will be unable to hit them until they resurface. They will try to appear behind you and sting. As soon as you hear the ground rumble, kite to the left or right to avoid a sting and venom build-up.
Aim for theirrearandstingerand continue moving in the opposite direction of the scorpion. For example, if they move clockwise, move counterclockwise, as much as possible, you want to be behind the enemy to hit their stinger and rear to deal the most damage you can before they dive back underground. After the fights, there are no cutscenes or stranger messages, just enemy bodies ready for looting. With both defeated, you just have one last optional boss before you head inside thecommand center.
