The BlackSpace Engine enables seamless exploration of vast open worlds without loading screens, ensuring a smooth and immersive experience inCrimson Desert.
From lush forests and snow-capped mountains to medieval cities and sprawling deserts, every environment in the game is rendered in real-time with breathtaking detail.
The engine’s advanced physics system is also a highlight. Vegetation rivals that of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, while clothing and hair move naturally with character motion.
Many environments will be destructible, and features like volumetric fog and real-time physical interactions enhance the world’s realism.
Combat Physics and Environmental Interactions
In an action-packed game, every hit needs to feel impactful. Thanks to the BlackSpace Engine’s physics, enemies react realistically to attacks and dynamically collide with their surroundings.
Another innovation is object destruction, which varies based on applied force—stronger blows produce more fragments. Additionally, enemies can dynamically crash into the environment.
BlackSpace Engine also processes lighting in real time, achieving realistic effects even without ray tracing. Dynamic weather, including rain, snow, and fog, further enhances immersion.
Lastly, the engine features advanced fluid simulations (such as FFT 8 ocean waves and shallow water physics), delivering unprecedented realism in bodies of water—waves, currents, and ripples react naturally to the environment.
