Zenimax the parent company of game developer Bethesda has filed a trademark for the name “Redfall” last week. Trademark applications usually cover a variety of things which include PC and console versions of games. This name looks awfully close to a previous Bethesda title, it’s time for some speculation.
Elder Scrolls 6 Connected to Redfall Trademark?
Zenimax filed the trademark on September 10th in the US and was sighted byNewsweek. The application doesn’t hold much more information about what game this could be referring to.
However, the name does look a little similar to a previous Bethesda game title, The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard which was released back in 1998. The “fall” part of the name could be referring to the fall of theRedguardor the home of the Redguard which is Hammerfell. Or even relating to theDaggerfall Covenantfaction.

The people of the internet have been suggesting via Reddit forums that this could be in relation to Bethesda’s previous announcement at E3 2018 forThe Elder Scrolls VI. None of this has been confirmed by Bethesda themselves, but does leave us wondering if this is the next focus for the Elder Scrolls series.
Another point in the game title direction is if we look at Bethesda’s history of trademarks and what they’ve led to. They trademarked the name “Starfield” as far back as 2013, which later led to theannouncement at this year’s E3of a new IP with the same name.

Redfall could be a new game entirely but we’ll keep you posted with any news about this mysterious new trademark. What do you think Redfall is about? Let us know in the comments below.
