For those who may not remember,Everybody Hates Chrisis a period sitcom that takes place between 1982 and 1987. It is inspired by comedian Chris Rock’s memories of his adolescent years, and, as such, follows the life of a young Black boy named Chris, who tries to make it with his chaotic family and an all-white school in Brooklyn. It follows him as he navigates life with his eccentric family members, including frugal father Julius, intimidating mother Rochelle, spoiled sister Tonya, and younger brother Drew, who is more popular than Chris. Being asufficiently underrated TV show, it definitely deserved more attention and praise while it was on air. Indeed, the show aired from 2005 to 2009, ending after only four seasons.
Luckily, although the show ended somewhat abruptly, the series finale ofEverybody Hates Chrissaw Chris leaving high school and moving on to college. After graduating from college, Chris returned home to Brooklyn, where he opened up his own comedy club. The show wrapped up with him reuniting with his family and friends from the neighborhood, including his former love interest Ashley. Everyone gathered around to celebrate the success of both Chris' comedy career and his new nightclub. Tyler James Williams
Tyler James Williams, who starred inEverybody Hates Chrisas Chris, has had a successful career since the show ended. After starring in one of thebest Black sitcoms, he has appeared inDear White People, The Walking Dead, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders,andWhiskey Cavalier. More recently, he snagged some film roles inThe United States vs. Billie HolidayandThe Wedding Year.He is also an advocate for Crohn’s disease awareness after being diagnosed with it in 2017. Of course, Williams' most prominent role right now is arguably Gregory Eddie, one of the main teachers in the hit showAbbott Elementary.

Tichina Arnold
AfterEverybody Hates Chris,Tichina Arnoldcontinued to have a successful acting career. She had previously been known for roles in shows likeMartinandAll My Children, and she has since appeared in films such asClover, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Countdown,andWonder London. Arnold also regularly appears alongside best friend Tisha Campbell to host TV events such as the Soul Train Awards. However, fans will have to give up hope on aMartinrevival as the cast made it clear it won’t be happening (viaPEOPLE).
Terry Crews
After the end ofEverybody Hates Chris,Terry Crewscontinued to appear in film projects and TV shows. Before the show premiered, Crews made small appearances in films such asThe Longest Yard(2005) and TV shows likeMy Wife and Kids(2003). However, it was his portrayal of Chris' father Julius that put him on the map. From then on, Crews became increasingly busy with his hands in multiple cookie jars, notably starring as Sergeant Terry Jeffords inBrooklyn Nine-Nine. Recently, he also voiced Tentacular for 2022’s animation projectRumble. Additionally, he’ll continue hosting duties forAmerica’s Got TalentandAmerica’s Got Talent: The Champions, as well as providing voiceover work for Cartoon Network’sCraig of the Creek. Additionally, he has delved into video game streaming with son Isaiah playingDanganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc. To this day, perLooper, Crews is still inspired by his character Julius.

Tequan Richmond
Tequan Richmond’s career afterEverybody Hates Chriswas fairly successful. He continued to act in various films and television shows, including the filmRide Along 2alongside Ice Cube and Kevin Hart. In 2017, he appeared as a guest star in an episode ofThe Mick. He also released several mixtapes under his rap moniker T-Rich, including the 2018 albumThe Great Depression.
Imani Hakim
Imani Hakimstarred as Tonya inEverybody Hates Chris. She portrayed Olympic gold medalist Shaun White in an episode of the show in 2012. In 2013, she appeared in the music video forWe Can’t Stopby Miley Cyrus. In 2017, Hakim announced that she had quit acting to concentrate on her studies at Columbia University and pursue a career in medicine.
Vincent Martella
After the end ofEverybody Hates Chris,Vincent Martellacontinued to pursue his acting career. He has been making his way doing voice work for popular shows likePhineas and Ferband video games such asFinal Fantasy XIIIandDisney Infinity. Additionally, he starred inClingerandMcFarland.
Chris Rock
Chris Rocknarrated inEverybody Hates Chris, along with the show being based on his childhood memories growing up. Rock shows us a first-hand view of theracial injustices in the 80s, especially with him going to an all-white school. Since the show has ended, Rock has helped producedTotally Biased with W.
