The latest trailer from developer Spiders highlights more features of their upcoming action-RPGGreedFall, set in world with uncharted lands. The footage shows the choices in customisation you will experience which allows players to choose from a mix of starter skills attributes and talents.
Combat involves a range of weapons, swords, bombs, traps, poisons, pistols and rifles but also allows you to use magical abilities for long ranged attacks. One powerful resource is the use of Fury which will fuel a number of devastating attacks. If combat becomes a bit too overwhelming with the number of enemies, you can tactically pause to choose from your spells, techniques and potions to make your next move.
There are hundred pieces of customisable equipment, armor and clothing in-game meaning you may really make your character your own.
At times you may want to use Stealth to make your way through certain locations to avoid engaging in combat, as rushing in guns blazing can have affects on your reputation. Alternative skills can gain you access to different areas, such as Sciences to craft explosives or Lock Picking to open locked doors. There is also the option to solve things with diplomacy, which might fare better in your relations with certain factions.
Enlist three companions from characters you’ve met through your journey. You can develop relationships with each companion which can even turn more romantic in nature. Your crew each has their own set of motives which can conflict with each other, so it may not be possible to always keep every happy. This can lead to a companion leaving if they feel things aren’t going their way.
