HoYoverse has announced that version 3.0,“Epic of the Nova Era”, forHonkai: Star Railwill be available onJanuary 15. The update introduces several new features, including the exploration of the worldAmphoreus, marking the beginning of a new main story.

TheTrailblazer’s missionin Amphoreus is divided into two parts, with updates spanning versions 3.0 to 3.7. The studio states that this will be the largest story arc so far in its free RPG available for PC, PS5, and mobile devices.
In addition to the new plotline, the update adds maps and gameplay modes. “Prepare to join theHeroes' Exploitsalongside new companions likeAglaeaandMs. Herta, and unlock the newRemembrance Pathfor the Trailblazer character,” according to the developer, also known for its hitsGenshin ImpactandZenless Zone Zero.
New Companion: Mem
Among other updates, players will meet a new companion with the provisional nameMem, the only sound she emits. Mem can be summoned in combat, and once her charge is complete, she provides support. “Players are expected to work alongside Mem to overcome the challenges of traveling through Amphoreus, facing various obstacles and difficulties,” the studio explains.

Alongside new locations, version 3.0 will introduce two new five-star characters:
“In the first half of version 3.0, a specialWarp Eventwill be activated. Exclusive five-star charactersLingsha,Feixiao, andJadewill return simultaneously,” HoYoverse announces. “In the second half, five-star exclusivesBoothill,Robin, andSilver Wolfwill also make their return. These powerful allies will be essential in aiding the Trailblazer during their Amphoreus journey. Additionally,March 7thwill receive a new outfit from thePath of Preservation. During version 3.0, simply log in and unlock theCharacter functionto obtain it.”
