Scavenger Moveset
Description
Scavenger casts Dark magic on the Expedition.
As the name suggests, the Scavenger will unleash eight single-target hits on random party members, dealing dark damage. These can parried when you hear the last string of the audio cue.
Scavenger attacks.
A pretty straightforward attack where the Scavenger will perform a four-hit combo. The pattern isnormal > fast > slow > fast.
Scavenger summons strange Masks.
These masks will occasionally attack a party member, inflicting Defenceless.
Scavenger attacks and hides in the fog.
This is a party-wide attack that will cause Dizzy on anyone who gets hit. This is a very fast attack that should be dodged or parried as soon as you hear the audio cue.

Scavenger attacks from the fog.
This is the same attack as the previous one, but without an audio cue. It’s very difficult to time this attack because there are no indicators.
Scavenger darkens the sky.
This is an eight-hit attack where he will target party members at random. He will either throw out a three-hit combo, or only a two. The pattern for the three isnormal > normal > fast, while the two arefast > fast. This can be difficult to parry due to the Scavenger appearing out of thin air.
The Scavenger is a bit of a trickster, being surprisingly agile and stealthy despite its massive size. The fight itself starts out fairly simplistic, with the eight-hit Dark Magic attack being fairly easy to parry once you’ve gotten the audio cues down. The normal attack is also not too bad as, while it has a bit of an erratic pattern, it’s an easily punishable attack.

It’s around halfway things get a little more complicated though. This is when the Scavenger will turn day into night and begins to summon masks to do his bidding. These masks don’t pose much of a threat, occasionally attacking a random party member. Like most of this fight, it’s more about the audio cues, so just listen for the attack and parry as soon as you hear even the slightest bit of audio.
Outside this, though, your main goal is to do as much damage to the masks as possible, otherwise the Scavenger will unleash a powerful Dark attack on the entire party with no audio or visual indicators at all. After a certain number of hits, it will bring the Scavenger back into the fold for you to properly strike down.
