Simply by playing through Fallout 4, you will inevitably level up quite fast. However, if you’re looking to blast through those perks or have the strength to wear some power armour, there are ways to speed up the whole process.
Best methods for levelling up quickly in Fallout 4
These tried and tested methods will give you a quick and easy way to level up. None of them are technically cheating; they’re just playingFallout 4at its own game. Before we start, though, there are a few things you should look out for that will help you earn XP much faster in Fallout 4.
Crafting XP farm
This one will require you to have at least enough materials toconstruct something from the decorations listat your Fallout 4 base. Simply head to your base andopen up the workshop menu. Head into yourdecorations menuand select something to build.Repeatedly build this itemuntil you are all out of resources,scrap it all, and repeat. This will quickly level you up in Fallout 4.
The best thing you can build is statues. These will provide the most XP and will help you level up fast in Fallout 4. You can learn the ability to build statues by grabbing the magazine Picket Fence in the boss area of Saugus Ironworks. You canrush this baseor fight your way through.
However, you may not have the resources you need to build a lot of one item. In this case, you canuse a glitch in the game to duplicate itemsuntil you have more than enough. Here are the steps to duplicate any resource in Fallout 4.
Piper is best girl
So, as previously discussed,sleeping eight hourswill already award a 10% boost to XP due to the well-rested perk. However, having Piper along as your companion will also add a few more bonuses to XP. Bringing her along for the ride will give 50 XP per location discovered rather than 25. meaning you level up fast whenever you discover a new Fallout 4 location.
On top of this, if you have managed to romance her, even sleeping an hour with her will give the Lovers Embrace boost for another 15% XP boost.
The Idiot of Fallout 4
TheIdiot Savantperk gives the chance to grant3x XP on any action, with the chance of this happening growing with lower intelligence. The higher the rank of Idiot Savant, the better it gets. The final level will grant a possible 5x XP and the chance to trigger 3x XP for any kill for a period.
With this equipped, the best thing you can do is farm the locations with respawning enemies. Look for mirelurks and enemy bases.
Exploration is the best leveller
Just getting out there and into the world of Fallout 4 is the best way to level up fast in the game. Fallout 4 isn’t supposed to be a grind and will rarely have you out in the Wasteland looking for ways to get more powerful; Bethesda doesn’t make grindy games.
As you play through Fallout 4, discovering itsvarious vaults and lore, the game will naturally progress you to where you should be. It is uncommon to be drastically under-levelled. If you are, it is probably because you’re not supposed to be in that area yet. And if you keep dying, well, that’s usually a user-skill issue.
