The Staff of Ice is the main Wonder Weapon of choice in The Tomb, the latest Zombies map inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6. Players will need to fully power the staff to complete the story quest of the map, so here is how to upgrade the Staff of Ice in BO6 Zombies The Tomb.
How to Get the Staff of Ice in Black Ops 6 Zombies
The Staff of Ice can bereceived from the Mystery Box or earned by gathering three partson The Tomb. The three parts require players to defeat a Shock Mimic and solve two mural puzzles alongside fighting multiple waves of enemies, so check outour Staff of Ice guideto quickly build it or other tips to get it from the Mystery Box without spending a lot.
How to Upgrade the Staff of Ice in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Once acquired, the first step to upgrade the Staff of Ice is toshoot three lit purple torches very quickly with the staff. The three torches must be shot at with the staff all within about 10 seconds for it to count. The purple fire torches periodically respawn in different spots around the map, so it may take a few tries to get the right combination set up to quickly shoot three in succession. The Stamin-Up perk can be extremely helpful to increase your sprint speed.
Players will know they did it right when Archibald speaks to you. The next step is to enter the Dark Aether andfind three purple glowing symbols on the floating rocks above you. The locations are randomized, so it is best to leave a crawling zombie alive to safely look around all of the floating rocks.
Shoot the purple glowing symbols with the Staff of Ice, which will lower the rocks down. Be sure to memorize the symbols for the next task. When done correctly, Archibald will speak again and one of the four portals in the Dark Aether will be closed.
Take any of the remaining portals back to the normal reality and visit the closed portal from the other side. There will now be several symbols on the door where the portal entrance was.Shoot the three symbols on the door that match the symbols on the floating rocks with the Staff of Ice.The portal will reopen and enter inside.
This will take you back into the Dark Aether on a high ledge with a purple orb in front of you.Interact with the orbto be transported back to the central stone structure below.
Players will then need to escort the purple orb as it floats around the Dark Aether. Escorting requiresstaying near the orb and shooting any nearby zombiesto protect it. Make sure your whole team is present for this if playing in co-op.
Done correctly, the purple orb will fly into the central stone structure.Interact with the structure to place the Staff of Ice and fully upgrade it.If failed, players will have to wait until the next round to try again.
