There is no doubt that Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling delivered incredible performances as Barbie and Ken, respectively, in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming movieBarbie. And while said so, it is also quite understandable that the entire cast was a part of sleepovers and group chats to get updates on their daily shenanigans.

However, there’s one Ken who claimed to have missed out on the entire chat, since he was never included. Evidently, after Margot Robbie arranged sleepover parties for the Barbies, Ryan Gosling arranged a group chat for the Kens, although Michael Cera was the only one who was omitted from the conversation.

Inside The World Of Margot Robbie And Ryan Gosling’sBarbie
Greta Gerwig‘s upcoming movie featuring Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie has been the ultimate social media buzz after being known as the most pink movie of 2023. Bringing out the live-action Mattel doll to the silver screen, Gerwig created a masterpiece that is now set to engage in a box office war with Christopher Nolan’sOppenheimer.
However, it’s not just the director who is to be credited for the perfection of the movie. Evidently,Margot Robbieand Ryan Gosling had a major role to play. During a recent interview, Gosling revealed how the actress forced everyone on set to wear something pink once a week. “Margot had this pink day once a week, where everyone had to wear something pink. And if you didn’t, you were fined” the actor stated.

Further, trying to keep the essence of Barbie intact, Robbie hosted sleepover parties for all the female stars playing Barbie, and Gosling created a group chat for the Kens on set. The actor mentioned the reason for starting the group was to “show our support but not be overbearing with our presence”. Thus, the entire crew engaged in something or the other to keep up with theBarbieshenanigans.

Ryan Gosling Omitted Michael Cera From A Group Chat
While the entire cast ofBarbiehad something to look forward to after their shoots, one of the Kens from the movie Michael Cera mentioned how he was never included in anything. Stating he was omitted from the group chat byRyan Gosling, Cera stated a bizarre reason behind such partiality.
Stating how he was omitted from the conversation for not having an iPhone, Michael Cera gave out his bizarre conspiracy theory. “I don’t have an iPhone myself. … I have a flip phone” Cera stated. He further added, “I still think I wouldn’t belong on [the group chat] anyway, because [my character] Allan is sort of in his own little world.” the actor claimed.

Trying to convince himself with his reasons as to why he was never included in the group chat,Michael Ceraexpressed his disinterest in social media and smartphones. “That is a conscious choice, because I feel a bit of fear about it honestly like I’d really lose control of my waking life,” Cera explained. Giving an example from his life, the actor explained, “I had lunch with a friend of mine…and for the whole meal he was typing emails, and I was sat there lonely and bored. So I had an early aversion to them.”
However, in the end, it is safe to say that despite all odds and discrimination whatsoever, theBarbiecast had a joyous experience on set and are looking forward to their movie turning into a blockbuster.
Greta Gerwig’s Barbie is scheduled to release in theatres on 21st July 2023.
