Is Tatiana Maslany Riling Up Audience Support ForShe-HulkSeason 2?

AfterShe-Hulkstar Tatiana Maslany revealed that the executives at Marvel and Disney were not keen on renewing the show for a second season, a new report by io9 revealed that though Maslany’s comments were not untrue, a second season could still happen if the makers decided to make the show cost-effective.

According toio9’s source, Disney reevaluated the budget of Marvel media once former CEO Bob Iger returned to handle the company’s investments and content. Shows such asDaredevil: Born Againand films likeCaptain America: New World Orderhave reportedly borne the brunt of this creative overhaul as all shows have had to justify their investment.

The source also mentioned that though there are possibilities of a second season ofShe-Hulk: Attorney at Lawstill happening, Tatiana Maslany’s comments were not entirely untrue and that the show was not likely to be commissioned soon. Since the show did not make huge waves within the franchise, justifying the budget would be necessary.

With Tatiana Maslany’s comments on a second season, it can be speculated that she could have been riling up audience support to verify that a second season was greenlit. Since the budget of the show was already high due to its VFX work, a demand from the fans would go a long way in getting a second season commissioned. However, fan demand for the show seems to be lackluster as it received a 32% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
