Johnny Somali hit with legal bombshell as alleged victim files for “severe punishment”
An alleged victim of Johnny Somali has filed a court petition asking for the streamer to be sentenced to the maximum punishment as his trial rages on.
Johnny Somali, real name Ramsey Khalid Ismael, is on trial in South Korea for a series of on-stream antics in the Asian country, including obstructing businesses andcreating Deepfakes of other creators.
So far, he’spleaded guilty to two Obstruction of Businesscharges and two counts of violating the Minor Crimes Act, but has pleaded not guilty to a couple of Deepfake charges, with more charges reportedly on the way.
On June 30,YouTuberLegal Mindset, who has been documenting and reporting info about the Somali case, revealed that one of Somali’s alleged victims filed a petition that could result in even more jail time for the streamer.

According toLegal Mindset, the person who filed the petition was not streamer BongBong, who Somali is accused of creating Deepfakes of.
Instead, it’s either someone from a bus that wasdelayed due to Somali’s anticsor a parent of a child at the theme park Lotte World, who heard the streamer allegedly blast text-to-speech claiming he wanted to engage in inappropriate acts with children.

The petition requires the victim to prove damage had been done to them, document how Somali failed to reconcile, a lack of remorse and must be based on fact, not emotions.
If the petition is found to be legally sufficient and if Somali is found guilty, he would receive the maximum punishment.
Legal Mindset says that before the petition, Somali was looking at a minimum of 6 months behind bars for the Obstruction of Business and Deepfake charges, but with it, the consequences get amplified to a minimum of 4 years and 3 months.

That’s not the only bad news for Ismael. Legal Mindset also says that the case against the creator forchild sexual harassmentis proceeding quickly. That, too, has a major punishment of a maximum of 10 years imprisonment, with labor or a fine of up to 50M Won ($36,200 USD).
With all this new info, expect Somali’s next trial date, June 22, 2025, to be packed, especially considering it will be a full day of testimony.
