Kingdom Come Deliverance 2will get its first expansion this summer, and Warhorse Studios has showcased some of its new features—such as the ability to customize shields.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 DLC First Details
This RPG has continued to receive content since its announcement. Recently, the Polish studioWarhorse Studiosreleased a hardcore mode to make the medieval role-playing game even more challenging, and now they’re getting ready to launch the first major DLC planned on their roadmap, set to arrive this summer.
In a live stream, the developers themselves showed some of the new features coming in Brushes with Death, which is the name of the first major DLC forKingdom Come Deliverance 2, arriving sometime this summer.
The next expansions, by the way, are planned for fallLegacy of the Forgeand winterMysteria Caelesiae.
Customize Your Shields
The first DLC forKingdom Come Deliverance 2will introduce a new mechanic that lets players decorate their shields. You’ll be able to take them to certain merchants, who will allow you to choose from various colors, patterns, and symbols to apply.
Only a few designs will be available, but as you progress through the story and complete both quests and side jobs, you’ll unlock new ones.
This is just one new mechanic included in an entirely new story arc forKingdom Come Deliverance 2, which will extend the already extensive narrative of the game with new side missions.
This expansion focuses on a character involved in painting. We’ll learn more when it launches sometime this summer onPS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC—available as part of the expansion pass or as an additional purchase for those who own the standard edition.
