LEGO Horizon Adventureshas its share of surprises, but few things catch players off guard like the boss fights. While some are easy, others will put your shooting, dodging and running skills to the test. If you’ve been casually smashing through crates, side missions and weak bosses, these ones will snap you out of autopilot fast.
Review: LEGO Horizon Adventures
Is LEGO Horizon Adventures a fun-filled LEGO adventure by a different developer or should LEGO leave their game development to Traveller’s Tales?
Again what makes these bosses stand out isn’t size or spectacle, it’s how much they ask of you. You need to time your dodges, read their attack patterns, manage crowd control when backup shows up, and figure out when it’s safe to hit back. Some bosses leave openings, while others punish you for rushing in.

Target the Sac Under the Snapmaw’s Throat to Stun It
The Snapmaw brings its Ravager sidekick to the fight, so be ready to multitask from the get-go. Use your Tripcaster to line the ground with blast wires around the arena’s corners and chokepoints. They can straight-up delete the Ravager if you get it to walk through a few.
When running from the Snapmaw crocodile, don’t go near its tail, as it can use it to sweep you off your feet, literally. The big rule here is never stop moving. The Snapmaw lunges, slides, and swipes, while the Ravager (if you didn’t take it out early) keeps pelting you with ranged fire. Use the environment, dodge constantly, and don’t get greedy with your attacks. You also want to shoot the frosty sac under the mechanical crocodile’s chin to freeze it up for a few seconds. And then you can go all in.

7Apex Longleg
Jumps, Kicks and Calls for Reinforcements
You’ll find the Apex Longleg as part of the Apex Predator Hunts in the Snowchant Mountains. But it’s not available from the jump. First you’ve got to complete the region’s story missions and finish the other Apex Hunt there. Once that’s done, the Longleg steps into the arena with a whole lot of noise.
The Longleg jumps, kicks and calls for backup, which you have to take care of to prevent the fight from spiraling out of control. The key to defeating the Longleg is movement. Keep strafing, keep firing, and don’t let it box you into a corner.

6Shell Walker
Focus on the Cargo Pod
The Shell-Walker looks like a mechanical crab hauling a glowing lunchbox, but don’t let that goofy vibe fool you. This boss is built like a tank and fights like it’s guarding the last gold on Earth. The Shell-Walker uses an ice shield to block nearly everything you throw at it, especially when you attack from the front. If you keep firing head-on, you’ll just waste your time. This fight is all about smart angles and patience.
The key to cracking this armored tank is the big cargo pod strapped to its back. That thing isn’t just dead weight. It’s part of its defense, but it also happens to be its weak spot. If you target the hinges that connect the pod to its back and manage to blow it off, it causes a pretty decent explosion.

5Corruptor
Don’t Go Near a Scorpion
If you’ve made it to the Teersa rescue mission, you’ve probably already figured out that the Corruptor isn’t some oversized LEGO scorpion you can whack a few times and call it a day. The moment the Corruptor shows up, the fight gets loud. It starts by firing clusters of missiles that fan out and cover big chunks of the ground.
LEGO Horizon Adventures: 7 Tips and Tricks We Wish We Knew Sooner
Keep these tips close before you venture out into the world!
If you’re just standing around, you’ll get blown up before you can blink. It doesn’t stop there. When it charges at you, it slams the ground with its massive legs, sending out shockwaves. Those waves hit hard and knock you off your feet if you’re too close. You can beat the Corruptor by staying quick on your feet and learning when to go in. You can’t just mash your way through. The smart move is to hit it with ranged attacks while dodging its patterns. Right after it finishes a slam or a missile barrage, there’s usually a small window where it slows down. That’s your shot to do real damage.

4Thunderjaw
Don’t Chip Away at Its Health, Shock It
There are two phases to fighting theThunderjaw. At first, your attacks got nothing on the Thunderjaw, so don’t even bother chipping away at its health bar. Its laser tail and projectile bursts will force you to keep moving, dodging, and constantly watching your flanks. To defeat this boss, you will have to use your environment to your advantage. On either side of the platform, you’ll see moving lifts carrying glowing barrels. These aren’t ordinary explosives—they’re electrified, and they’re key to damaging the Thunderjaw.
You’ll need to wait for the right moment, dash over, grab a barrel, then bring it back and toss it into one of the electrical terminals on the columns. Do it right, and you shock the Thunderjaw, dealing huge damage and stunning it. Meanwhile, cultist enemies keep showing up. They’re annoying, but manageable. Deal with them fast so they don’t interrupt your barrel runs. The real threat is the Thunderjaw itself. One wrong move and you’re getting slammed or lasered.
Keep Moving, Keep Throwing, and Keep Targeting Weak Spots
The Sawtooth is fast, aggressive, and it absolutely hates sitting still. From the moment it drops into the arena, this thing charges at you like it’s got somewhere to be, and you’re in the way. You don’t start this fight swinging wildly at this boss. That’s a good way to get slammed. Instead, stay mobile and use the environment.
And remember this boss doesn’t like fighting fair. Throughout the fight, it calls in reinforcements, which are smaller corrupted machines that swarm you while the Sawtooth keeps attacking. If you try to fight them all head-on, you’ll get overwhelmed. Sawtooth isn’t about slow, careful planning. It’s about momentum. Keep moving, keep throwing, keep targeting weak spots.
2Apex Stalker
Apex Predator That Loves to Sneak Up on You
You can unlock the Apex Stalker as part of the final Apex Predator Hunt in the Sunfall Desert. But don’t expect to just walk in and start swinging. You’ve got to finish the story and take out every other Apex Hunt first. Only then does the real stalker come out to play. When the fight begins, you’ll notice something’s off. The arena looks empty—until the Stalker flickers into view and blasts you with a burst of energy. It uses stealth as its main weapon, turning invisible and creeping around the map while laying down trip mines and ambushing you from behind.
Top 10 Best LEGO Games
The best of the best in brick-based gaming!
You’ll need to rely on your Focus a lot here. That’s the only way to track it when it goes dark. Tap it to reveal its shimmer. Don’t lose sight of it, because if you do, it’ll sneak up and slap half your health away. You’re never really sure where it’s going to come from next, and that’s what makes it one of the most memorable bosses in the game. Just stay alert, trust your Focus, and strike when it slips up.
1Ancient Goop Monster
Target Its Legs
The moment theAncient Goop Monsteror Deathbringer wakes up, it starts unloading. It fires tracking bullets that’ll chase you around the arena, and it loves to toss out giant fire rings that spread across the floor. you may’t stand still for a second. Keep moving. Jump over the rings. Dodge constantly. This isn’t a boss you can just face-tank and hope for the best.
The legs of this final boss are its weakness. Hit them with your best barrage arrows or anything that can spread damage. You want to disable the legs. When you break enough of them, the Ancient Goop Monster collapses. That’s your moment. Rush in and unload everything you’ve got—especially your Brick Separator if it’s ready. This move alone can tear through a chunk of its health bar.
