The highly anticipated release of Wildsoul is finally upon us.Lost Arkis one of the best and biggest MMORPGs on the market, and while the last three years have been a bit bumpy, Amazon and Smilegate have done a decent job of adapting it to the west.
Because we have been playing catch-up to the Korean version, the first two years have been some of the most densely packed releases we’ve seen from any MMO, with content churning out every month. Now that we’ve almost caught up, though, the content is coming in much slower.

Amazon Games Talks New Party Finder Policies, Wildsoul, Future for Lost Ark
We were able to talk to Amazon about not only the issues plaguing the MMORPG, but the exciting future they have in store for Lost Ark in the west.
Wildsoul Class
One particular area is the new classes. Nearly a year ago, we saw the release of Breaker in March 2024, but ever since then, we have been left without a new class. We were almost spoiled in this regard, as we had new classes releasing what felt like every other month, but finally, Wildsoul, the highly anticipated Druid-esque class, is here, along with a slew of new updates and improvements that hope to get players back.
This new class looks to introduce a new and modern appeal to the classes we’ve had before. It’s classified as a Specalist class, utilizing a scroll on her back to either summon a fox and a bear to do her bidding, or actually morph into those animals, depdning which spec you wish to experiment with. It looks like an immense amount of fun, and something we’re excited to dig deeper with.

Mokoko Challenge Express
Right alongside the new class, we’re receiving a new Mokoko Challenge Express Event, which is essentially a Hyper Express event for those more familiar with the name. The Mokoko Challenge Express will help boost a character, be it the new Wildsoul or another of the many Lost Ark classes, to as high as 1660 ilevel. There will be reward boxes as you hone your character alongside reduced rates to help you get there faster.
Players will also be incentivized to do solo content up to Echidna, handing out additional rewards and materials along the way. Once you reach tier 4 and get as high to 1660, you will be rewarded with huge rewards such as Level 7 gems, Advanced Honing scrolls for the 11-20 push, and so much more. On top of this, we, of course, get a powerpass to South Kurzan, which puts you right at 1585 to kick things off.

The Mokoko Challenge Express will help boost a character, be it the new Wildsoul or another of the many Lost Ark classes, to as high as 1660 ilevel.
Mokoko Bootcamp
When it was first introduced late last year, the Mokoko Bootcamp was very well regarded. What Lost Ark desperately needs is to attract new and returning players, and this offered the perfect system to entice them to play. Gatekeeping has always been a hot-button issue with the MMO, but this helped new and returning players jump back into the game without much worry of getting into a group, offering the veterans special rewards for helping them out.
The Mokoko Bootcamp has fortunately returned relatively quickly after a couple of months of downtime. With this, the requirements have been altered a little bit, primarily used to curb those with alt accounts, it would seem. If you are someone who hasn’t logged into the game in the last 60 days or has created a new account within the last 60 days, you’ll be eligible for the Mokoko leaf next to your name, which basically allows you instant access to most parties.

While the person with the mokoko leaf will obtain various rewards through their own earned currency, anyone who takes that person into their party and clears content will receive their own tokens that can be exchanged for some exciting new goods, such as a brand-new title “Mokoko Legion Commander” alongside Bracelet Effect Rework Tickets, card selectors, honing supplies and more. This will continue until May 21.
Ark Passive Rework
Why this maintenance comes with a hefty 18-hour tax is primarily for this. Ark Passive was introduced with the release of Tier 4, and it changed how classes played on a fundamental level. The downside is that it was locked behind the 1660 item level raid, Aegir, so those who enter Tier 4 for the first time can’t experience it. Well, that’s no longer the case as the entire engraving, book and accessory system has been completely reworked to fit under the Ark Passive system to start as soon as Tier 2.
This is a massive change that gives players a huge DPS boost, alongside making their classes just more fun to play. Additionally, all accessories from before tier 4 will be automatically converted to fit with the new system.
