George Clooney Was Remembered ForJack FrostEven After Rejecting The Film
In 1998,Michael Keatonstarred in the holiday filmJack Frostwhich followed the story of a father who returns as a snowman a year after dying in a car accident. The film unfortunately ended up on the wrong side of box office collections and did not find favor with audiences and critics as well. originally, it was George Clooney and not Michael Keaton who was the first choice for the protagonist. Clooney who initially signed up for the role, ended up backing out of the project.
But the star’s presence still loomed large in a literal sense despite his departure from the film. When Clooney had taken on the role, a snowman that resembled the actors features had already been created by the visual effects company, Jim Benson’s Creature Shop. WithThe Descendantsstar backing out abruptly and Michael Keaton coming on board, there was no means to change the features that were already sculpted. Matt J. Britton, the general manager of the Creature Shop said that they had to then improvise on spot to try to create a likeness to Keaton.

“Once it became Michael Keaton, we didn’t change the head completely. We did some signature things to the chin and to the lips because Michael Keaton has this little mouth and talks out of the front of his mouth.”
Despite their best efforts,Jack Frostdid not set the screens on fire. But the film may get a second wind after years if audiences rewatch it to look for a George Clooney resemblance in the features of the snowman!

George Clooney Could Not NailThelma and LouiseAuditions
Oscar winnerGeorge Clooneyhas made some smart choices and has played many memorable roles that has cemented his place as one of the industry’s best actors. TheOcean’s Elevenstar though, has been through his fair share of failures in trying to get some marquee roles. One particular part that Clooney was unable to conquer even after a staggering five auditions, was Brad Pitt’s s*xy cowboy who becomes eye candy for Gina Davis and Susan Sarandon in the cult classicThelma and Louise. Davis who met Clooney years later on a flight, revealed that the actor was still sore about his loss.
“He says, ‘I’m still mad at Brad Pitt.’ I said, ‘Why, I thought he was like your great friend.’ He says, ‘He got the part in Thelma & Louise.’ I said, ‘Did you want to be that part?’… He was one of the other guys that read with me! I should never have just admitted I forgot George Clooney.”

Despite missing out on an iconic film, George Clooney more than made up for the loss by taking on many interesting and challenging roles in his career.
