Atheory is now doing the rounds that the plot toElder Scrolls 6might have been teased via theMorrowindexpansion of theElder Scrolls Online. It involves the Akavari.
Has the Elder Scrolls 6 plot been revealed?
AnImguruser reported that if you chat to the priest Lloros Sarano in the Ald’ruhn Temple, he says “I’ve heard rumours that Akivari is making preparations to invade us again. They are apparently only waiting for the Empire to collapse in Civil War or some other crisis. We’d certainly need a Hortator then - if we had one, maybe they could travel to Akaviri before the invasion and weaken or stop it”.
Now, think about how that relates to what we’ve just experienced inSkyrim.

Civil war in Skyrim: Storm Cloaks versus Imperials
Skyrimwas focused on a Civil War between the Stormcloaks and the Imperials. Lead by Ulfric Stormcloak, they rebel against the White-Gold Concordat The Stormcloaks wanted the Empire out ofSkyrim. They worship Talos (aka Tiber Septim), an Emperor-turned-god whose worship is forbidden by the White-Gold Concordat. Against them was the Empire, who want to continue rulingSkyrim, supported by the Thalmor, representatives of the Third Aldmeri Dominion. So, a Civil War.
In the culmination of the Dark Brotherhood questline, you assassinate the current Emperor, Titus Mede II. We have an Empire that is weaker than even. It would be an ideal time for the Akaviri to strike.

Exciting! But who who are the Akaviri?
They’re from Akavir, a continent to the East of Tamriel. Depending on who you ask, they either look like humans or they’re half-serpent. If it’s the latter, this is due to being assimilated into the vampiric Tsaesci race (who resemble snakes). Perhaps both could be true - some transformed, others still looking like humans?
The Akaviri have been inSkyrimbefore. They founded the organisation that became the Blades, who gave the Empire its trademark dragon sigil, and found the dragonborn Reman Cyrodiil, who they tried to make Emperor.

Ah, I see! And what’s a Hortator?
It’s a title taken by the leader of a Great House as a sign that they’re to lead them through a period of great danger. It’s similar to a general, only even more meaningful. So if this theory is right, odds are you would be a Hortator inElder Scrolls6instead of a dragonborn. And it would be your task to head on a journey to Akavir to stop the invasion.
How likely is it to be true?
It sounds plausible. Another event that occurred in one of theElder Scrollsgames was hinted at in Tribunal expansion forElder Scrolls III: Morrowind. This was also spotted by anImguruser. Eno Romari in Godsreach says “we believe that the gates toOblivionwill open, and a multitude of Daedra wil roam this world freely”. SoBethesdahave prior form for dropping hints for their games. However, for this particular prediction to come true, it would mean that the Akaviri have waited 207 years.Skyrimtook place in 4E 201, with the events ofMorrowindgoing on back in 3E 427. That’s a long time to wait for the ideal time to strike!
Do you think that this theory could be true? If so, how do you feel about becoming the Hortator and facing the Akaviri on their home turf? If not, what about it do you find implausible? Please comment below and let us know,
