A new Max Raid event has begun in Pokemon Sword & Shield giving trainers the chance to catch Shiny Marill in the Wild Area!

Pokemon Sword & Shield may be nearly three years old at this point, but the game still retains a passionate and dedicated community of trainers.

While Game Freak is no longer releasing significant batches of content for the title and is instead focusing onPokemon Legends: Arceus, they still update the Wild Area on a regular basis.

These usually come in the form of Max Raid events that celebrate a specific Pokemon type and give trainers a chance to encounter a rare Shiny.

Well, this week is no different, with Shiny Marill being available in Max Raid battles for a limited amount of time.

As reported bySerebii, a new event has taken over Max Raid battles and it’s giving players the opportunity to obtain an extremely rare Pokemon.

The water-themed event will be running betweenJuly 1andJuly 10, 2022, so ensure you get involved while it’s available!

During this time, trainers will be able to encounterMarill, Poliwag, andSphealin Max Raids. Not only that,Shiny Marillwill be available at a spawn rate of2%, meaning it’s the perfect time to make the most of the boosted odds.

Remember, this event is running for ten days, so taking part will give you a great chance to get your hands on a Shiny!
