TinyBuild have released a new trailer for their upcoming “emotion action adventure” game Waking which shows combat.

Waking is described as an “emotional adventure” into the subconscious, where you are experiencing dreams while being in a coma. You will need to battle against the forces of darkness, gather your most treasured memories and will also run into the people that you love.
Waking sets to appeal to those who are fans of souls-like challenging combat, and includesaction-RPGelements. But this title doesn’t quite fit the mould, having features such as Fear and Hope meter which you will need to balance. There is a dreamscape world to explore with caverns, crypts and even procedurally generated dungeons.
Each quest leads you to experience memories from you life, which you will enter in game through a number of choices. These snippets of your life become your weapons in the game.
Combat sets to have a high level of difficulty which can be adjusted to your preferred level of challenge. A unique feature is the use of telekinetic attacks, this can be used with melee and parrying to help bring your enemy down. Each fight will need to be tackled with strategy. Developer Jason Oda expects Waking will provide players with 20 hours for a playthrough.
