Going For Wall Mastery

Preparation Phase

Now that you are properly prepared for the battle ahead, it’s time for the game preparation phase. Be wary of the red line that comes fromThe Wallas if any block hard lands within it,The Wallcard will immediately descend, throwing you into the battle phase of the game. While the cards that you draw will be random, if theStrategic Pavilionappears on the enemy side, drop them at the far right of the board and begin blocking them off to prevent them from gaining extra soldiers for their side.

The Wooden Fortressfor the enemy side may also show up. If you have already built a forest area, move them to the far side, the furthest away from their range, or else they’ll gain more sword users per tile of forest. Usually a secondPavilionfollows up right after theFortress, so shelve it on the side in reserves until you are sure that it won’t be near any other enemy buildings on the tile map. It will be key to rid your forest tiles as much as possible of enemy forces, as their buildings can tear your forests down to strengthen their own reserves. Instead, use your ownWooden Fortressto clear the land before the enemy gets the chance to obtain the buff. Pairing this with aFarmwill heighten the effects as cleared plains will offer no benefit from the cleared plain tiles.

Preparation Phase Drop Duchy

Play to your strengths in your deck and watch where you place your buildings, build your wooden foretresses within gathered forest areas and place your farm nearby to turn any plain tiles intoFieldtiles to heighten your watchtowers nearby.Watchtowersat level 1 only take up only one square and have a small radius, so placing them as close as possible to yourFarmwill allow them to reap benefits from the Field squares as much as possible.

You will be able to pushThe Wallback as far as the second to last line of the tile map. Once you use up the rest of your tiles, be prepared for the battle phase and mark your routes carefully.
