Twitter erupts after the renewal ofVelmafor a new season

Although the HBO Max show has garnered huge numbers on the platform, and not for good reasons, the prime reason behind its excessive viewing numbers is hate-watching. And despite the excessive hate and review bombing campaigns against the show, it has ultimately resulted in HBO Max’s benefit.

And the confirmation of the second season was the straw that broke the camel’s back, as people are furious over the studio’s decision to capitalize on its hate rather than understanding why it was hated. Many Twitter users didn’t shy away from calling out their decision for green-lighting another season and shared their disgust over the matter.

This show has horrible ratings how it get a new season but plenty of other shows got cancelled that should have gotten one😭😭

— Dillion Harper (@og_yungdilly)June 10, 2025

The show itself is terrible. The worst thing about the show I can not forgive is that they did not solve the mystery in the first season and left it as a cliffhanger. They left it open ended to try to get a second season. Infinity train is cancel but this show got a second season
