Lingyang will be one of the most unique characters you can get your hands on inWuthering Wavesso far, and when you go to build him up you’ll want to keep in mind several key parts of his kit. Lingyang’s Resonance Liberation ability will be the main portion of his damage, and much like Calcharo, you will want to get him some buffs to make his ultimate ability hit harder. Unlike Calcharo though, Lingyang will be higher up on the field and attacking enemies while up in the air, meaning you can dodge and attack up above most of the smaller enemies in the game. He will do a lot of damage while also being a ton of fun to play if you are a fan of a scrappy playstyle that Lingyang will encourage and reward you for running with.

Best Weapons For Lingyang
Lingyang uses theGauntlet classof weapons and will need some weapons to keep his Resonance Liberation ability charged up and ready for use as soon as possible. If not, you will want to get some weapons to provide better attack stats to at least make him a plausible main dps character for your team.
The first weapon you’ll want is the current5-starset of Gauntlets in 1.0, theAbyss Surgesgauntlets. These are probably one of, if not the best, set of gauntlets you can get inWuthering Waves. Abyss Surges willincrease Energy Regen by 12.8%and when Lingyang hits a target with his Resonance Skill, hisBasic Attack Damageis given a10% bonus. This attack bonus will last for8 secondsand when you hit a target with hisBasic Attacks,his Resonance Skill damage gets another10% bonusfor8 seconds. These gauntlets do a ton for Lingyang and will be the top choice for what you want to use for Lingyang.

Buffs upon buffs.
If the 5-star weapon is unavailable, you will want to keep an eye out for theStonard4-star set of gauntlets as well. These might not get the same value as the previous weapon, but they will surely get the job done. Stonard will provide Lingyang’s Resonance Liberation with an18% bonuswhen you use his Resonance Skill and this bonus will last for15 seconds. While these may not provide the best option for Energy Regen, they do make up for it by increasing Lingyang’s damage done by his Resonance Liberation.
Your third option for a nice set of gauntlets will be the 4-star weapon namedHollow Mirage. When you use Lingyang’s Resonance Liberation he will be grated3 stacksofIron Armor. Each stack of Iron Armor willincrease attack and defense by 3%. However, when he takes any damage he willlose 1 stackper hit he takes. These will make up for the lack of overall regeneration by at least giving a nice 9% boost to his overall attack and defense stats. Not a bad option as a stand-in until you get your hands on the other weapon options.
Best Echoes For Lingyang
The next step for getting Lingyang set for your team is to equip him with some echoes and get him some Sonata Effect buffs. You will want to choose between a set of eitherLingering TunesorFreezing FrostSonata Effects. Both are perfectly fine for Lingyang, and it will come down to what you are looking for when using him. With a set of2 echoeswith Lingering Tunes, Lingyang’s attack isincreased by 10%, and with all5hisattackwillincrease by 5%every1.5 secondsand this effect can stack up to4 timestotal. Lingering Tunes will also increase hisOutro Skilldamage by60%, making this a very solid option for his echoes.
Freezing Frost will increase Lingyang’s Glacio Damage by10%when 2 echoes corresponding buffs are equipped. When you have all5,his Basic and Heavy Attacks will increaseGlacio Damageby10%and can stack up to3 timeswhile also lasting15 seconds. It is also viable to use two of each Sonata Effect to grant a 10% attack buff and a 10% Glacio Damage increase.

There are also some nice options for Lingyang’s primary echo, the first of which is theLampylumen Myriadecho. This echo will provide an area of effect attack that will strike3 timeswhile also increasing Lingyang’s Glacio Damage as well as his Resonance Skill Damage. This is a very great choice for Lingyang and will be your best choice for the Freezing Frost Sonata Effect. Another option for the Freezing Frost effect will be theGlacio Predatorecho. This echo will do Glacio Damage upon being used and will recharge faster than most available echoes so that it can be frequently used while in battle.
The last option for a primary echo will be theMech Abomination.This echo is also an option you will use if you go with the Lingering Tunes Sonata Effect. The Mech Abomination will deal Electro Damage upon use and willincreaseLingyang’sattackby12%for15 seconds. This echo is a solid choice for Lingering Tunes and the attack increase is very nice to have on hand while in a fight.
Best Characters to Team With Lingyang
Now, when putting together your team, it is best to consider who will be able to buff Lingyang to provide the maximum amount of damage he can output. He is going to be your main damage dealer, so it is best to keep yourself from bringing another main dps as their synergy might not be as optimal as you’d like. The nice part of this is that there are some strong options to consider for his team.
Sanhuawill be one of the best options as a support dps character for Lingyang. Sanhua will be able to buff Lingyang’s basic attacks with her Outro Skill and help him do even more damage with his Resonance Liberation. Her time in a fight is also really short in comparison, and she can regenerate the energy required to switch very quickly.Mortefiis another option to choose for a support dps, but his weakness here is that he buffs heavy attacks as opposed to basic attacks. He is still useful, but you won’t be able to get as much value as you will Sanhua.
For your support characters, you should look at bringing inVerinaorBaizhias your healers. Both work very similarly and will be able to provide very useful attack buffs for Lingyang. Baizhi is limited to only providing buffs to the next character you switch her out for, so you’ll want to guarantee Lingyang is the next in rotation as often as possible. Verina will overall buff the entire team, so she will be the first and best option, but Baizhi will do the job as well if Verina isn’t an option for you.
These are the best weapons, echo and team options to use for Lingyang inWuthering Wavesto bring out his damage-dealing potential. As usual, for most teams and weapons within the game, almost everything is a viable option for use. Just be sure to keep buffs and Sonata Effects in mind while getting Lingyang ready to beat up some enemies.
