Earlier today, photos fromX-Men: Apocalypsesurfaced that gave us our first official look atPsylocke(Olivia Munn), Storm (Lana Condor) and the blue-skinned villain Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac).Entertainment Weeklyhas released even more photos from this superhero sequel, featuring the young mutants Jubilee (Lana Condor), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), along with another look at Storm. Some of these photos appear to be taken during the early days of production, since their costumes match up with set photos during scenes shot at a mall, where these mutants all went to seeStar Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.

The story is set in 1983, 10 years after the events ofX-Men: Days of Future Past, withX-Men: Apocalypseclosing out the trilogy that started with 2011’sX-Men: First Class.Professor Xavier(James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) have become estranged in the years followingX-Men: Days of Future Past, but they are forced to reunite when the villainousApocalypserears his blue head. Apocalypse is on a mission to bring together his Four Horsemen, including Storm, who he finds in Cairo, Angel (Ben Hardy) and Psylocke. The fourth piece of his villainous puzzle is Magneto, who has been trying to live a normal life in Poland.

Eventually, Apocalypse’s plot becomes known to Xavier and Mystique, leading them to form this youngX-Menteam. Along with the new photos, it is revealed that Storm “isn’t in control” of her powers when Apocalypse finds her, while Jubilee is described as a “fashionable student” at Xavier’s school for the gifted, who can create “colorful energy bursts.” Cyclops' burgeoning romance with Jean Grey is said to be one of the movie’s three love stories, while Nightcrawler, who is rescued by Mystique, emerges as a source of comedic relief. Jean Grey is said to be one of Xavier’s “prized students,” who is fearful of her own powers.

These young mutants will be joined by other returning stars such asBeast(Nicholas Hoult), Moira McTaggert (Rose Byrne), Quicksilver (Evan Peters) and Havok (Lucas Till). During 20th Century Fox’sComic-Conpanel last weekend, directorBryan Singerpointed out thatHugh Jackmanhas starred in every singleX-Menmovie to date, although he has yet to be confirmed forX-Men: Apocalypse. While nothing was set in stone at the panel, this cryptic exchange could certainly hint thatHugh Jackmanmay have some sort of appearance inX-Men: Apocalypse.
